Blauer Tactical Systems Completed

Throwdown recently completed the build out of Tony Blauer’s Blauer Tactical Systems (BTS) training center in Virginia Beach. Installed at BTS was the following Throwdown equipment:

· Custom 30’x35’ Cage Corral with built-in Elite Bag Rack

XMMA Announces Next Event- Sept 13

Xtreme MMA (XMMA) has announced their next event for Sept 13th, "XMMA5: It's Crow Time". David "the Crow" Loiseau takes on Solomon Hutcherson in the main event.

Loiseau, a native of Montreal, Quebec, is a part owner in the promotion alongside Steve “The Snake” Claveau. Loiseau and Claveau went into business together in September 2007 and have since reeled off four successful events. XMMA is molding itself as one of Canada's top promotions alongside MFC and TKO Championship Fighting.

XMMA utilizes the following Throwdown equipment for their events:

Throwdown custom canvas
Throwdown custom printed cage bumpers

Strikeforce Denver to air on HDNET

Strikeforce vice president Mike Afromowitz confirmed that organization's October 3rd "Payback" show in Denver will be televised live on HDNet.

Strikeforce’s agreement with HDNet calls for the network to air four of the promotion’s events live in 2008. The first event at the Tacoma Dome aired on HDNet in February. The Denver/Broomfield event marks the second event to air live on Mark Cuban's television network.

The card will feature a main event rematch between former UFC fighters Sam “The Squeeze” Morgan (19-10) and Denver local Duane “Bang” Ludwig (16-8).

Since its inception as the historical first legal MMA show in the state of California with a record sellout crowd, STRIKEFORCE has relied on the expertise of THROWDOWN Industries, Inc. for the custom 26’ HEX Cage with drop panel system. Each show since 2006 has utilized the technicians of THROWDOWN to generate custom artwork, canvas, bumper decals, installation and tear down services.

Jackson's MMA chooses Throwdown!

Greg Jackson, whose fight team is ranked number 1 in the highest winning percentage by Sherdog.com and includes Keith Jardine, Rashad Evans, Georges St. Pierre, Nate Marquardt, Joey Villasenor, David Loiseau, Damacio Page, Duane Ludwig, Leonard Garcia, Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone and Julie Kedzie, has chosen Throwdown to re-design and re-engineer his training center in Albuquerque, NM.

The transformation of Jackson's MMA began yesterday with the delivery and installation of Jackson's new Throwdown 30ft event series octagon. Jackson's former training cage was "built by a local guy" and although the cage has been used by some of the top names of the sport including ten world champions, it was time to step it up so the Jackson's team has a world class cage to match their world class talent.

TD at Circle of Fury, NC tonight!

Circle of Fury will be back in the cage live tonight on August 15th at the LJVM Annex in Winston-Salem, NC. Circle of Fury has chosen Throwdown to design, construct and install the TD event series circle cage for their event.

Strikeforce Heads to Denver

Strikeforce will follow up its second annual show at the Playboy Mansion on September 20 with "Payback" at the Broomfield Event Center in Denver, CO on October 3.

The card will feature a main event rematch between former UFC fighters Sam “The Squeeze” Morgan (19-10) and Denver local Duane “Bang” Ludwig (16-8).

Phil “The New York Badass” Baroni and Frank “Twinkle Toes” Trigg are also expected to be on the card (opponents still TBD).

Updates for Strikeforce @ Playboy Mansion

Strikeforce at the Mansion II, which takes place at the world-famous Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills, CA on September 20th, has added a second bout which features Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Bobby Southworth (9-5) vs Renato "Babalu" Sobral (30-7) In addition Strikeforce world lightweight champion Josh Thomson (15-2) and undefeated prospect Billy Evangelista (7-0) have also be added to the card (their opponents are yet TBD). These names add to the previously announced fight of Joe Riggs (28-10) vs. Kazuo Misaki (20-8-2).

Sobral will fight at the Strikeforce show just three weeks before his upcoming Oct. 11 "Affliction: Day of Reckoning" bout, which many speculate could be vs Tito Ortiz.

Jay White to Fight Chase Gormley on Affliction

For the first fight of his three fight deal with Affliction, Jay White has been scheduled to fight Chase Gormley (6-0) on the October 11, 2008 "Day of Reckoning" card at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The fight will be shown live on HDNET.
